2024年12月12日，復康互助會再次迎來了一個值得慶祝的時刻。我們受邀出席由新界東醫院聯網舉辦的「義工嘉許禮2024」，並再次榮獲「義工團體服務獎」。這份殊榮，不僅是對我們與醫院合作開展關顧服務的高度肯定，更是對每一位義工無私奉獻的深情致敬。
新界東醫院聯網的口號是「醫社攜手，暖動萬心」，亦是今年嘉許禮的主題，這句口號完美地詮釋了醫院與社區攜手合作，為病人帶來溫暖和希望的精神。在典禮上，我們有幸與威爾斯親王醫院領導們及其醫務社工譚經理和新健社主席蘇少球先生合影留念，並巧遇了我們的合作伙伴——雅麗氏何妙齡那打素醫院的醫務社工郭姑娘。這次相遇，讓我們回想起過去，義工們在醫院默默付出的每一個瞬間。他們用溫暖的雙手，撫慰著長期病患者的痛苦；用真誠的微笑，點亮了醫院的每一個角落。
在這個世界上，有一群默默無聞的英雄，他們每天都在用自己的行動書寫著無私奉獻的故事。他們並非身強力壯，也非財力豐厚，而是那些曾經深陷病痛折磨，如今毅然選擇站起來，用自己的力量去幫助他人的復康者們。他們就是復康互助會的義工們。
這些義工們，或許曾經在病痛中掙扎，與命運抗爭。他們經歷過無數次的治療，承受著身體和心理的雙重壓力。然而，當他們終於走出陰霾，重新站在陽光下時，他們沒有選擇安享自己的康復生活，而是毅然決然地投入到服務社會的行列中。他們知道，還有許多人正如曾經的自己一樣，需要幫助和支持。
每天，這些義工們不顧自身的疾病，放棄了自己的休養時間，無怨無悔地奔走於城市的各個角落。他們走進醫院，走進社區，走進需要幫助的每一個家庭。無論是陪伴長期病患者覆診取藥，還是為他們送上物資，這些義工們總是用真心和愛心，去傳遞溫暖和力量。
這些義工們，正是以他們的無私奉獻和堅韌不拔，詮釋著何為「助人為樂」。他們用自己的行動，告訴我們：即使身處逆境，只要心中有愛，就能夠創造奇蹟。
